Ed Maximus is a visual artist and photographer on a journey to capture the human essence. Through his lens, he sees the body as a home that shelters our innate presence and he seeks to use both, body and soul, to create a narrative that conveys certain emotions.
Maximus was born and raised in Haiti. Since moving to New York City in 2014, he has been weaving through the fashion and fine art world without losing his vision as an artist. His works have been featured in Vogue Italia, Elle US, Essence Magazine, and other publications. Between 2016 and 2017, he self-published two monographs based on his fine art projects For Colored Girls and Anatomy of Emotions. A year later, he had his first solo exhibition for For Colored Girls.
